Today, I traveled back to my hometown, Show Low, to bang one out (and record an episode) with my buddy and platonic, male counterpart, and multi-media artist, Nicholas "Oz" Perez! Honestly, what is a season of Visceral Musings without Oz? We talked about the death of art appreciation and we also challenge what qualifies something as "art". what makes someone an artist? what makes an album a "good album"? that, and so much more in an episode that signifies the end of season two of Visceral Musings and helps us recontextualize the very art that we so choose to indulge in.
It's our podcast, our episode and we challenge the very foundation of why I set out to make the damn thing in the first place.
Let's boogie!
Enjoy. See you next season.

Today on Visceral Musings, I talk to my creative partner and one of my best friends on this planet, BREYDON HILL as we unpack the early foundations of his musical endeavors, the lives and deaths of our creative projects, Safety School and Negative Thirty-Two, and I have him read a couple of ad's for me to generate a little revenue around here.
More so than all of that, we talked about Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World in an episode centered around friendship and influence, and why this movie has such a stronghold on us well into our twenties. It's been a long week already, let's unpack a little bit of what makes us, us.
Let's boogie.
Enjoy!

What up?
Today my guest is the host of the podcast A Dirtbag's Guide to Life on the Road, a decorated songwriter, who's back catalogue of work spans over a decade, with features in American Songwriter, and countless other appearances on other platforms across the years, my buddy, the progressive Cowboy, Charles Ellsworth!
We talked about his formative years coming up in the mountains of Arizona, as well as the many influences behind his extensive collection of creative projects. Oh, yeah we also played a game of "Millenials Learn to Serve Cunt", but most of all, we talk about the lasting impact of Johnny Cash's Unearthed, and how It played an 'instrumental' ;) role in his career as a songwriter and as a guitar player.
Strap in and let's boogie.
Enjoy!

Mariska Hargitay! And welcome back to another installment of Visceral Musings. Today, we're talking about the *ss*ss*n*t**n *tt*mpt on D*n*ld Tr*mp's ear, I improvise a haiku, and we talk about me elbowing literal child in the face at an In N' Out Burger, but above all that we're talking about Deadpool 2, the sequel to the first one! All the in's and out's of what make this movie a worthy successor to an already (borderline) perfect introduction to the Merc with a Mouth, Wade Wilson.
Strap in and let's boogie!
Enjoy!

I am back from vacation with a solo episode and for the first time, Visceral Musings has no topic! That's right, break from format and we are focussing on a couple highlights from my recent trip from Minnesota, specifically; a few mishaps on an airplane, some terrible customer service and the recent acquisition of a possessed doll from an antique shop in St. Paul. I Tok a few of your itching, burning questions from instagram and shared some hot takes with you all. Very excited for you guys to hear this one and to get back into the swing of things. We are so back, baby.
Let's boogie.
Enjoy!

WHAT UP? It is Wednesday and we are at the mid-way point of Season Two! Today, there is no guest, so that means you're gonna hear me yap about the yappenest hero in the world of comic books, Deadpool! We unpack just why I love the Merc with the Mouth's titular film debut and we take a trip all the way back to 2016. But first, we talk about a show I've been watching that has a gratuitous amount of full-frontal nudity, I take shots at people who try to make me dance, and I take a few questions from the 'gram that give you some honest-to-god insight into my first erection as well as some hot takes on Star Wars. We even take couple stabs at some verbal-lore expanding in the world of Visceral Musings. Spread your cheeks and learn something new! Let's boogie!
Oh, yeah! Also, enjoy some new original music for the Instagram Q +A's.

Today, my guest was my friend and one of my favorite artists out there today, Allison Tippets! You probably know her from her extensive portfolio as a tattoo artist in the Phoenix area, or maybe you’ve seen her artwork from one of the many projects i’ve worked on and reached out to her to draw something for (including this one).. but hey, regardless of if you or if you don’t, you are in for an absolute treat!
Today we talked about the early foundations of her becoming an artist, from her sister’s “learn to draw” books, to cartoons, to her cutting her teeth and coming to her own as an artist. it was an absolute joy to sit and talk to someone who i respect so much, and who is so humble despite having such a massive amount of talent and has created artwork that has been immortalized on so many people. The topic of today’s episode is Aesop Rock’s 2016 album, The Impossible Kid and we both opened up about the impact that this album has had on us and we dive in to just how much Aesop has influenced Allison in her career as an artist.
enjoy me chatting with someone who i am proud to call a friend.
be sure and stick around on to the end to hear the brand new song from the newly reformed The Hostage Situation called “The Last Leg” and catch their reunion show at the Rebel Lounge on July 13th!
massive shouts to Brandon Kellum for letting us plug this one! let’s boogie, y’all.
Enjoy!

Today, my guests are my very first threesome! It's Zach Perkins and Grant Becker aka the Desert Ratz! We covered a whole range of topics, from being in the army to discovering Grant to be our very first member of the Window Squad, we even found out which Rat is the top and who is the bottom, but mainly we got to do a deep dive on why the Rats give such a shit about the world of Minecraft, and speaking of games, we even got to play a wild game of "Porn Star or Pen-Name", America's #1 Game Show!
It was such a delight to get and chit chat with two people who I respect so much. They were instrumental to me having the courage to start my own show, and I can't thank them enough for having me over to record this in their own recording space. Truly one of the funniest and best episodes Visceral Musings has to offer.
ENJOY RATZ!!!

Today my guest was none other than the phenomenal Russell King! He’s an artist local to Arizona who is known for his music as well as his artwork that explores the psychedelic and spiritual realm and capitalizes on exploring human consciousness. Did I mention, he does all of his artwork by hand? Take a look at how symmetrical he is and be truly blown away.
Today we dove deep into cartoons, music, psychedelics, and him doing artwork for Bone’s Eye as well as his love of Kill Tony— but beyond all that we talked about Russell’s love for the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and how it contributed so much to his early years as a child and later translated into his work as an artist.
Sit back and get right into another installment of Visceral Musings and be sure to stick around to hear a new track from Russell’s music project, The Cullers, at the end of the episode. enjoy!

It is the season premier of Visceral Musings, and what better way to kick things off than by having a total sweetheart of a guest discuss our favorite fictional character ever created? This episode has to be another one of my absolute favorites and my guest today 100% encapsulates what this show is all about. His name is Josh Reidhead and as it turns out, we grew up together, and also completely separately. We got into religion, video games, but more so than anything else, we picked apart the last five episodes of Spider-Man: The Animated Series.
I couldn't think of a better way to kick things off, and I couldn't have chosen a better guest to get us started. Massive thanks to Josh. Let's kick things off correctly!
Enjoy!
